WD-

It's a free country. I have tons of respect for ballsy people who walk (or ride in this case) their own line and go against conventional wisedom...

...but dude, you asked us! I heard something like this once (don't remember the exact phrase) and it kind of applies here to get one thinking: "there are crazy riders and there are old riders, but there are no crazy old riders."

People have different philosophies. That's what makes the USA great. You guys ride and that's good enough for me.

I'm actually going the other way. I love custom bikes/choppers/etc. that are designed for form over function--they're damn beautiful. But, I'll never be a 1%-er. I'm not the "outlaw" type. They wouldn't have me anyways--maybe in my youth, but not these days. For example, I'm not going to pound beers and then ride. I'll drink some beers, but not when I'm driving anything.

After riding a few years now, I feel drawn to support AMA, Ride-To-Work Day, MSF course, etc. It's like a quote I read in Barger's Ridin' High, Livin' Free book, "fight to live another day, live to fight another day, ridin' high and livin' free."

Take care,
